Anyone can register for group accommodation – there is no age limit. Groups are allocated their own classrooms depending on the size of the group, while individual travellers are accommodated separately according to gender. We plan for 13 people per classroom, although there may be more depending on the space available. Overnight stays in the group accommodation are booked from Wednesday to Sunday – single nights are unfortunately not possible.

The school's sanitary facilities are shared by all overnight guests. Shared showers are available in the schools and sports halls. If separate showers are not available, separate shower times will be organised for male and female guests.

• Sleeping mat, air mattress or air bed and a sleeping bag or bedding. (If you travel to Düsseldorf by plane, you may borrow these things from the accommodation – limited availability!)
• Breakfast crockery: plate, cutlery, cup, cereal bowl and a drying towel.
• Personal belongings for the five days, including washing kit and towels.

During the Kirchentag, each school is looked after by a volunteer accommodation team. During opening hours, the team takes on a wide range of tasks: for example, allocating the rooms, checking admission, serving breakfast and answering your questions. This team is your contact person on site.

When selecting the schools, we take the different needs of our visitors into account and allocate the schools accordingly:

• Families with small children are accommodated in schools with particularly attractive playgrounds.
• Brass choirs can come together as a large community in their schools.
• People with physical disabilities find suitable infrastructure in their schools.
• Volunteers have a short and quick route from their school to their place of work.

In the International Centre (IZ), there will be an exchange as well as advice, interpreting services and general information on events.

Breakfast is included in the overnight stay in group accommodation. This includes tea, coffee, bread rolls, vegetarian spread and cheese. Breakfast cereals are offered in the form of a buffet. Private cooking is not possible in the group accommodation.

Lunch and dinner will not be provided. Please organise your own catering outside the group accommodation.

The group accommodation will be easily accessible by public transport such as underground, bus and tram.

If you book your participant or contributor ticket in your ‘My Kirchentag’ account, you can add group accommodation to your booking. The accommodation fee is 59 Euro for individuals and 79 Euro for families.

Important notes:

• No private cooking within the group accommodation.
• Only breakfast is available.
• The group accommodation is only available from Wednesday, 5 May (or Tuesday, 4 May in some cases) to Sunday, 9 May 2027 – single nights are unfortunately not possible. Anyone wishing to visit Düsseldorf outside this period must find their own accommodation.
• No access to the accommodation during the day between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm. The same applies to people who are not interested in attending the Kirchentag (e.g. bus drivers).
• The parking of vehicles (cars or buses) on the school grounds is generally not permitted.
• Fire and rescue routes have top priority. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense.

• You can book individual days; departure is by 8.00 am the next morning.
• Arrival hours: 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
• You may not reserve space for people arriving later, so groups should check in together.
• The Caravan Center has stations for filling fresh water, disposing of wastewater and disposing of rubbish.
• Accessible sanitary facilities (toilets, showers, washrooms) are available.
• Each pitch has its own electrical hookup (230 V/16 A).
• Space is limited, so you cannot set up marquees, party tents or awnings.
• Open fires are prohibited and will be put out immediately.
• For fire safety reasons, only electric grills are allowed.

Note: The Caravan Center is under the approach path of Düsseldorf Airport, so expect aircraft noise between 6.00 am and 10.00 pm.

Prices

Prices are per pitch and include use of the sanitary facilities, the fresh water and disposal stations, and the electrical hookup.

• 45 Euro per day (departure by 8.00 am the next morning).
• 3 Euro accommodation tax per person per day, collected when you book.
• Each motorhome, caravan or converted vehicle needs its own pitch ticket.
• A car towing a caravan needs only one pitch ticket. You can park the car for free nearby.

Tip: Feel free to bring your own bike. You enter the fairgrounds through the North Entrance, about two km from the campsite. There is no shuttle bus.
