Travelling
Kirchentag 2027
Düsseldorf serves as a major transportation hub, accessible via train, plane, and car.
By train
Düsseldorf central station (Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof) is a major transportation hub in the west of Germany and easily accessible by train, with direct long-distance connections from many German and European cities. Check out possible train connections via www.bahn.com/en.
By car
You can drive to Düsseldorf by car via the motorways (Autobahn) A3, A44, A46, A52, A57 or A59. The city also has a Park+Ride System set up. However, the Kirchentag strongly encourages its participants to use public transportation instead of cars.
By plane
For our international guests who are travelling long distances to attend the Kirchentag, the only option is to travel by plane. Düsseldorf Airport is an international airport with direct connections to many European and some intercontinental destinations and is only a short train ride away from Düsseldorf central station. From Frankfurt International Airport (Frankfurt am Main) or Cologne/Bonn Airport you also have a very good train connection to Düsseldorf central station.
