Theme and other texts from the Bible

Event & movement

The Theme is the central idea of a Kirchentag. The theme offers a focus and direction that guides us through the varieties of events and topics. It is usually taken from a biblical quote and forms a bridge to the current topics and questions of today. The slogan is the thread that runs through the program and provides the impetus for the events of the Kirchentag.

The presidium decides on the theme with the participation of the Kirchentag Parliament. The decision on the theme marks the beginning of the planning of the Kirchentag programme.
