Group Accommodation

The Kirchentag primarily offers communal accommodation in school buildings to young people. Several people are accommodated in one room. The schools are situated in or near Berlin.

We want to ensure that everyone requiring a place to sleep will get one. Please bring your own sleeping bag and airbed or camping mat. You will also need a plate, cup and cutlery for breakfast, which is provided.

It is possible to stay from 23 (earliest) to 29 May (latest).

Good to know: Communal accommodation

  • Visitors of communal accommodations are housed in school buildings. Around 15 persons sleep in one room on the floor.
  • The allocation of the people to their classrooms is organised by the Kirchentag office. Visitors can provide their preferences in the booking process.

  • Private cooking inside communal accommodation is not possible.
  • Communal accommodation is only provided for a maximum of six nights (Tuesday, 23 May – Monday, 29 May 2017). If you want to visit Berlin outside this period, you need to find your own accommodation for the time.
  • There is no access to the accommodation during the day between 9 am and 6 pm. This includes people who are not visiting the Kirchentag (bus drivers, for example).
  • It is generally not allowed to park vehicles (cars or buses) on the school's premises.
  • Fire and rescue routes have the highest priority. Vehicles parked illegally will be towed at their owner's expense.
