The Topics and Bible texts

As much as you need: How much of what do we actually need for living? How much risk, change and security? Taking Hamburg as an example, what might a city of the future look like, meeting the needs of all inhabitants? How much responsibility do we need to take in respect to the world of economics and global finance? What are the resources for a stable democracy? What is required for fruitfully working together and engaging in dialogue with other faiths and other church confessions? What do we need in theology, the Church and local congregations? What is really necessary to create a successful society, for single people and families, between men and women, among children, young people and with the older generation? These are topics that the Kirchentag will pursue. In addition there will be a wealth of spiritual experiences on offer, all kinds of opportunities for discussion and encounter – and plenty of cultural highlights.


As much as you need – the Kirchentag theme will be spelt out in biblical terms:
